To achieve excellence, we have continuously focused on maintaining and enhancing the services we offer and the quality of our facility in every respect. Of particular focus for us are improvements in property security. These included an emergency natural gas fired generator for electricity (which has kept the building warm during major winter storm utility blackouts), dozens of security cameras for extensive property surveillance, and motion sensors for improved safety lighting throughout the facility. Other replacements were a new steel roof on the rear building, motion activated LED lighting, a new entrance gate and related controls, and a new heating and ventilation system for certain building areas. Perhaps most importantly, in 2020 we made major progress in our goal of achieving energy self-sufficiency, by installing a solar powered electrical generation system.
