2020 Consumers Choice Award Winner
Abacus Self Storage is very happy to announce that it has, for the 3rd consecutive year, been selected by the consumers of Richmond Hill and York Region as the sole winner of the prestigious 2020 Consumers Choice Award! Abacus Self Storage has been given this consumer driven vote of confidence for 2018, 2019, and now again in 2020.
Winning this award is based solely on the merits of the service provided by a business to its customers.
The people at Abacus has been delivering great self storage value and service and earning the trust of its customers since 1999 – we at Abacus are committed to quality and to extending that record by being the Consumers Choice Award winner again in 2021, and for many years beyond. We are grateful for and value the trust placed in us by the people in Richmond Hill and York Region, and we want to do our best to keep earning that trust!
The Consumers Choice Award has been recognizing and promoting business excellence in Canada for over 30 years. The award is designed to help consumers satisfy their needs by finding the best businesses in their neighborhood and their city.
The Consumers Choice Award is determined by an independent survey conducted by a leading market study company which collects and analyses unbiased consumer opinions. To find these opinions, the study reviews every online interaction that a business has with its consumers, looking for indications of “Consumer Confidence“. As part of the process, the study looks at Google reviews, Facebook and Instagram likes, YouTube likes, and so on (telephone surveys were at one time a part of the study but were discontinued last year). In summary, and unlike any other consumer award, the study and award is based on 3rd party consumer driven data. The award is not based on a popularity contest.
The Award is a validation of the goals that the people at Abacus Self Storagecontinuously strive to achieve – to deliver great service and value, and to do that to the best of our ability!
There are no substitutes for treating your customers with respect and integrity, for delivering great customer service, for having a storage facility and units that are very clean and well run, for having top notch security, for maintaining and improving the facility and all units on both a planned and promptly as needed basis, and for having operational dependability (i.e. standby electrical generator, which has kept the heat and lights on in general power failures on more than one occasion), and generally for making every effort to operate the best self storage facility in Richmond Hill and York Region.
In closing, something new – Abacus is keenly aware of climate change as an issue for all of us. By the end of April, 2020, Abacus will be essentially carbon neutral relative to electrical power consumption. More in a future information article.
